Many of our manufacturers in the furniture industry obtain their materials from river and lake bottoms. They understand the importance of buying plantation grown wood and wood that is sustainable. Unfortunately, there is not enough certified wood species for the demand. Additionally, some manufacturers and many forests don't wish to pay the fees to obtain certificates indicating that they are making Eco-Friendly products.

That does not mean that our manufacturers have not done their own due diligence to ensure that they are in fact purchasing and using wood that is sustainable-harvested.
